Vice President, Global Security

Sam Said, retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen., is vice president of Global Security for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. He leads the Global Security function and the development and execution of the RI&S secure technology product strategy. Said drives security as a competitive discriminator in our products and programs, strengthening our controls to better protect our business and our customers.

Before his current role, Said served as the Inspector General of the Department of the Air Force where he was charged with assessing the department’s performance, combat readiness and compliance. He oversaw criminal and administrative investigations, counterintelligence operations, cyber forensics and training, and protection of highly classified programs and operations.

Previously, Said served as Deputy Inspector General for the United States Air Force. He retired as a Lieutenant General following a 31-year career marked by more than 2,200 flight hours in the F-15 Eagle and the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Said holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and a master’s degree in business administration from Western Governors University. He also completed a National Security Fellowship at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
