
Jeff Place
Vice President, Operations & Supply Chain
Jeff Place is the vice president of Operations and Supply Chain for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. He is responsible for developing and implementing operations and supply chain strategies and solutions in support of more than 4,000 programs and contracts. He is also driving growth and competitive advantage through deployment of affordable, agile manufacturing technologies, lean processes and facilities optimization in support of more than 400 Intelligence & Space sites, including its six Consolidated Manufacturing and Depot centers. Place is also responsible for critical support functions such as facilities and real estate, environmental health safety and sustainability and enterprise preparedness.
Prior to his current position, Place was vice president of Supply Chain and interim vice president of Operations at Raytheon Company’s Space and Airborne Systems business prior to Raytheon Company’s merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020. He joined Raytheon from United Technologies Corporation’s Aerospace Systems, where he served as both vice president of Operations and vice president of Supply Chain. He was also United Technologies Corporation’s corporate director of Global Supply Management.
Place spent time at Eaton’s Automotive and Truck Group in senior executive positions, rising to the role of vice president of Supply Chain Management, Quality and Operational Excellence. Prior to Eaton, he worked at Divine Inc./Whitman Hart and Honeywell International in supply chain, strategy and marketing roles.
Place earned a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Michigan State University and a master’s degree with a concentration in finance from Case Western Reserve. He is a board member of the Center for Advanced Procurement Strategy (CAPS), a nonprofit research center serving supply management leaders across the globe.
