Raytheon Intelligence & Space Receives Global InfoSec Awards at RSA Conference 2021

Raytheon Intelligence & Space named Cutting Edge in Security Company of the Year; Teresa Shea honored as one of the Top Women in Cybersecurity in 9th Annual Global InfoSec Awards at #RSAC 2021

SAN FRANCISCO, (May 17, 2021) – Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a Raytheon Technologies business (NYSE: RTX), announced it was recognized with two Global InfoSec awards from Cyber Defense Magazine, the industry’s leading electronic information security magazine: one of the Top Women in Cybersecurity (Teresa Shea) and Cutting Edge in Security Company of the Year.

“We’re thrilled to receive one of the most prestigious cybersecurity awards from Cyber Defense Magazine,” said John DeSimone, vice president of Cybersecurity, Training and Services at Raytheon Intelligence & Space. “We knew the competition would be tough and with top judges who are leading infosec experts from around the globe, we couldn’t be more pleased.”

“Raytheon Intelligence & Space embodies three major features we judges look for to become winners: understanding tomorrow’s threats, today; providing a cost-effective solution; and innovating in unexpected ways that can help stop the next breach,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine.

“Receiving this award is an honor for a number of reasons,” said Teresa Shea, vice president for Cyber Offense and Defense Experts, or CODEX, at RI&S. “Chief among them is that across all levels of the workforce, so many women are positively impacting the security of our nation. I have long been an advocate of encouraging women and girls to hone their technical skills to lead the fight against cybercrime, so to be recognized as one of the Top Women in Cybersecurity is humbling.”
