DULLES, Va., (June 28, 2021) – Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) announced its team to support the development of the U.S. Army’s Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node, or TITAN, program. TITAN is a tactical ground station that finds and tracks threats to support long-range precision targeting.
“Long-range precision targeting requires the utmost accuracy delivered in real time,” said David Appel, vice president for C2 Digital Solutions at Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a Raytheon Technologies business. “Having the right technology is essential, but having the mission know-how to integrate, deploy and manage a system over time efficiently and cost effectively is entirely different. Our team delivers both the technology and know-how.”
TITAN will ingest data from space and high-altitude, aerial and terrestrial sensors to provide targetable data to defense systems. It also provides multi-source intelligence support to targeting, and situational awareness and understanding for commanders.
As the prime systems integrator, Raytheon Technologies is leading a responsive TITAN team backed by decades of experience across domains and effectors.
- In addition to the depth of Raytheon Intelligence & Space’s space domain knowledge, the company will apply its proven 3D point-cloud technology that provides real-time targeting quality accuracy for every pixel in an image within seconds.
- Leaders in artificial intelligence and machine learning technology, Algorithmia and C3.ai will enable the team’s solution to deliver easily digestible data to operators. The system’s ease of use makes data connectivity – the ability to fuse and auto correlate data – seamless.
- Collins Aerospace will provide best-in-class Modular Open Systems Approach-compliant communications solutions to enable TITAN mission effectiveness.
- Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solution division will provide MOSA compliance and network infrastructure management solutions that deliver an accelerated path to TITAN’s ground station modernization schedule for brigade and above.
- The global leader in location intelligence technology, Esri delivers the tool of choice for geographic information system software, providing an easy-to-use and visually understandable system for operators.
- As the current vehicle integrator, General Dynamics Mission Systems will provide essential vehicle experience and the latest vehicle manufacturing technologies, ensuring a seamless transition to the new TITAN system.
- L3Harris Technologies will provide communications systems, network architecture for ground ISR communications, and updated secure datalink equipment in an open system architecture for the Army’s TITAN program.
To deliver a ready-now solution that’s adaptable for the future, Raytheon Technologies will pull from more than 50 years of experience in satellite system development, production and data management, communications design and integration and effectors.
