ARLINGTON, Va., (December 2, 2020) – Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a Raytheon Technologies business (NYSE: RTX), was awarded a five-year DevSecOps LevelUP Software Services Basic Ordering Agreement with the U.S. Air Force.
“To combat increasingly fast, capable and agile threats, we must be able to deliver services within hours, or even minutes,” said David Appel, vice president of Defense & Civil Solutions for Space & C2 Systems for RI&S. “This agreement provides an avenue for the Air Force to achieve that. We’re now positioned to rapidly deliver agile cyber solutions to the Air Force and the Department of Defense.”
The BOA will serve as the primary avenue for the Air Force’s activities tied to Platform One, the official DoD DevSecOps Enterprise Services team. Under the direction of the Air Force’s Chief Software Officer Nicolas Chaillan, Platform One will drive all software development for the Air Force into the future. Programs like Advanced Battle Management System and Joint All-Domain Command and Control will use Platform One through this BOA.
RI&S has delivered agile DevSecOps software development through programs like the Air Force’s Kessel Run and the U.S. Space Force’s Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution Mission Data Processing Application Framework. The company has also performed Platform One activities on the GPS Next Generation Operational Control System.
In addition to LevelUP and Platform One, the Air Force’s software factory ecosystem includes Space CAMP and Kobayashi Maru.
