Tay Fitzgerald is acting vice president of Advanced Concepts and Technology for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. She leads an innovative technology incubator inside the organization that delivers emerging and disruptive solutions to ensure customers’ asymmetrical advantage.
Before her current position, Fitzgerald led a corporate cross-functional, cross-business team responsible for combining the four Raytheon business units into two post-merger Raytheon Technologies business units, each with over $15B in sales.
Fitzgerald previously was vice president of Operations for Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, where she was responsible for production of over 100 highly diverse and complex products with 2,000 employees in six states, with a combined factory space of over 830,000 square feet and exceeding $2B of revenue.
Prior to the Operations role, Fitzgerald held a number of challenging technical and leadership positions with Raytheon throughout her 30-year career. She served as program director of a strategic proprietary program, as the SM-6 deputy director, and in numerous program manager, capture manager and engineering organization manager roles.
Fitzgerald has published several technical papers in the areas of signal processing and test. She was selected to the Missile Systems Technical Honors program three times and is a graduate of Raytheon’s Leadership Development and Leadership Excellence programs. Fitzgerald holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Arizona and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama and the University of Southern California, respectively.
