Advanced Concepts & Technology
Bradford Tousley is acting vice president of Advanced Concepts & Technology for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. He leads an innovative technology incubator inside the organization that delivers emerging and disruptive solutions to ensure customers’ asymmetrical advantage.
He previously was president of Raytheon BBN Technologies, a technology and innovation organization and a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies. Before joining the company, he spent more than 35 years in leadership positions within government agencies, the private sector and the United States military. He had most recently served as vice president of Strategic Technology Development and Commercial Aerospace at Ball Aerospace, the strategic business unit responsible for growing commercial aerospace and key internal research and development) and strategic technical investments.
Tousley previously served as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) director for the Tactical Technology Office, the pivotal DARPA platforms and systems office covering space, air, maritime/undersea and ground warfighting domains. His prior government agency roles include serving as a DARPA program manager and senior scientist responsible for critical Department of Defense research and development, and as a program manager for the National Reconnaissance Office.
He holds a master’s and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s in nuclear engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
