Robert “Bob” Williams is the vice president of Global Training Solutions for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. He is responsible for shaping the Global Training Solutions business strategy, optimizing performance, ensuring growth projections are met and building high-level customer relationships in government and industry.
Williams was vice president of Global Training Solutions at Raytheon Company’s Intelligence, Information and Services business prior to Raytheon’s merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020.
Before joining Raytheon in 2011, Williams was senior vice president at L-3 Communications/MPRI. Prior to joining industry, Williams attained the rank of Major General in the U.S. Army. His posts included commanding general and commandant of the U.S. Army War College, commanding general of the U.S. Army Armor School and Center, deputy chief of staff, operations for the U.S. Army Europe and commanding general of the 7th Army Training Center, U.S. Army Europe. Williams also served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in history from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, a master’s degree in philosophy from Emory University and a master’s degree in national resource strategy from the National Defense University. He also holds an honorary master’s degree in national strategy and strategic arts from the U.S. Army War College.
