Anthony “AJ” Jones is vice president of Digital Technology and Chief Information Officer for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business of Raytheon Technologies. Jones drives growth and competitive advantage by delivering digital solutions and exploiting opportunities to drive business value through the use of technology. He is also responsible for ensuring the government’s cyber requirements are being met within Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
Prior to the company’s merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020, Jones served as senior director of IT Infrastructure Services at Raytheon Company’s Global Business Services, where he oversaw the global unified ORION network and voice, along with data center operations. He spent a two-year rotation in Raytheon Company’s Intelligence, Information and Services business in a dual role leading IT Program Execution and as the Intelligence, Information and Services Engineering IT business partner lead.
Prior to joining Intelligence, Information and Services, Jones spent 10 years within Global Business Services IT Security, where he managed numerous enterprise services deployed across the globe. He was responsible for leading an elite team of cyber security professionals protecting Raytheon’s information systems and networks from internal and external threats. Before he started at Raytheon in 2000, Jones held various systems administration, service management and engineering roles with large enterprise companies such as PepsiCo Food Systems, Thorn Americas and Koch Industries. He was a founding member of WEBCentric, where he helped develop and deploy one of the first large-scale internet shopping search engines.
Jones served three years on the board of directors of Transglobal Secure Collaboration Program, a nonprofit co-founded by cleared defense contractors to improve the interoperability and information exchange within the aerospace and defense industry across the globe. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science, an MBA from Wichita State University and several IT security certifications.
